About Us

Before long, Gerrick acquired a small piece of property and added mulch and sod to his inventory, both available for pick-up or delivery. Gerrick was still looking to expand even further. He and his family, loving the lowcountry, moved to Bluffton, SC and established Taylor’s QLS, providing pine straw, mulch, rock, sand and gravel to contractors and the general public. Seeing a growing demand it wasn’t long and Taylor’s QLS developed a small nursery that is growing larger almost weekly.

At Taylor’s QLS we offer many different products and some services, such as delivery, installing palm trees, boulders and large trees that would require a tractor or large piece of equipment. Anyone staffed at Taylor’s QLS is always ready to give a helping hand from loading your vehicle with sod, pinestraw, rocks, or any of the materials we provide, to showing you around the nursery looking for that perfect tree, shrub or perennial.

Taylor’s QLS has been very fortunate and blessed to have many loyal and faithful customers and friends. We thank you all for your continued business and look forward to serving the Bluffton and surrounding areas for many years to come.

Zack Howard

General Manager

Zack has been with Taylor’s QLS since 2004. He relocated from the Lexington office in December 2012 to manage the Bluffton location. From ordering, receiving, and loading pine straw, rock, sand, gravel or mulch to delivering to your door Zack is the man that makes sure it all happens. Zack works well under pressure and keeps the back lot well organized year round. Taylor’s QLS is very grateful to have Zack in charge of operations.

Ronnie Hall

Nursery Manager

Ronnie has been with Taylor’s QLS since June 2013. She is incredibly knowledgeable of a wide array of trees and shrubs. As the nursery manager she is constantly working with vendors to keep a beautiful inventory with a variety of options for our customers. With over 20 years of experience in the nursery industry she has been a wonderful addition to the Taylor’s staff.

Melanie Reeder

Nursery Specialist

Melanie has been with Taylor’s QLS since March 2013. She, too, is one of our amazing “plant ladies”. Melanie makes sure that each plant receives an adequate water supply and is pruned up and looking it’s best. She is always willing to walk around the nursery helping to pick out the perfect palm or to load a bucket of decorative stones. We are very glad to have such a devoted lady at Taylor’s QLS.

Celeste Fitzpatrick

Nursery Specialist

Celeste joined the Taylor’s QLS team in February 2014. Even with a small nursery a lot of attention to detail is required. Many labor hours go into stocking the rows of trees and shrubs and refilling the tables of colorful flowers and blossoming bushes. Celeste is ready to carefully get the trucks unloaded and get the new bounty on display. We are very fortunate to have Celeste at Taylor’s QLS.

John Thompson

Driver & Service Technician

John comes to Taylor’s QLS from Beaufort, SC. Not only has he been a valuable asset to the Taylor’s QLS family since February 2012, he also is a valued member of our community serving on the Burton Fire Dept. since 1996. John is very reliable and dependable. He makes sure that the equipment and delivery trucks are maintained properly and in a timely and orderly fashion. Taylor’s QLS is very appreciative to have John as a part of our staff.

Jim Ludlow

Nursery Specialist

Jim joined us in March of 2015 and brought an abundance of knowledge and patience. This gentleman has a genuine love of plants and people. He will gladly walk the nursery with an individual customer until every questions as been answered. We are very fortunate that Jim joined out TQLS team.

Marc Green

Commercial Driver

Marc joined the TQLS team late spring 2015. He has a commercial driver’s license allowing TQLS to keep the back lot stocked more efficiently, make more sod deliveries, and to make higher volume deliveries quicker. Marc has more than 10 years of experience driving dump trucks and operating heavy equipment. While Marc is mainly on the road with a delivery he always has a smile on his face and is eager to lend a hand in all departments. We are very glad he joined the TQLS team.

Thomas Williams

Commercial Driver

Thomas, or Tommy as we have come to call him also possesses a commercial driver’s license. He spends most of his time in our Mack dump truck running large quantity deliveries to commercial customers and making sure that TQLS has everything we need to keep running smoothly.
